Introduction
VISYMO and our advertising partners use functional, necessary, analytical and advertising cookies to:
- make the websites function properly;
- show the best search results;
- show advertisements and measure their effectiveness; and to
- improve the overall user experience of our websites.
We show search results and search ads that are tailored to your search query and location, not to your interests. On our websites we also show display ads from Google. These display ads can be personalised; visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for their consent first (see ‘Your consent choices’ below). We use anonymous analytics cookies to see how we can improve the website.
Tracking cookies are cookies that allow a party to follow your browsing across websites. Visymo does not place tracking cookies itself. Google may place advertising cookies on our websites to personalise display ads, as described below. Visymo is not responsible for tracking cookies which you have previously accepted while visiting third-party websites.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone.
- First-party cookies, served directly by us to your computer.
- Third-party cookies, served by a third party on our behalf.
Third-party cookies
Some content or including advertisements on our website are served or provided by third-parties (ad networks; Google and Microsoft). When you have previously accepted cookies from these third parties, these third-parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our services. We do not control these third-parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly. For information about how you can opt out of receiving targeted advertising or content from many providers, see below ‘Your online choices‘
We use advertisements from Google.
- Search ads. For the search ads we show, we have set off ad personalization: Google will not collect or use your information to create an ad profile or personalize these ads. They are only based on the topic of the website you're looking at, your current search terms, or your general location, but not on your interests, search history, or browsing history.
- Display ads. Google also shows display ads on our websites through Google Ad Manager. These ads can be personalised based on your interests. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your consent first, and ads are only personalised if you give it. If you do not consent, you may still see limited ads in these regions: they are not personalised and use cookies or local storage only to detect invalid traffic. On pages where no consent message is shown (such as our search result pages and pages you reach through an advertisement), the choice you made earlier on the same website applies; if you have not made one, you may still see limited ads. Outside these regions, display ads may be personalised. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we ask Google to restrict the processing of your data, so the ads you see are not personalised.
In all cases your information can still be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising and to protect against fraud and abuse. For how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
We also use advertisements from Microsoft Bing. Because we have set off ad personalization, Microsoft will not collect or use your information to create an ad profile or personalize the ads Microsoft shows to you. To learn more about information collected by Microsoft, see https://privacy.microsoft.com/nl-nl/privacystatement

To learn what cookies does Clarity set, see: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/clarity/cookie-list#what-cookies-does-clarity-set The cookies installed by Microsoft Clarity stores information about how visitors use the website. The cookie contributes to the creation of an analysis report. The data collection includes numbers of visitors, where they visit the website from and pages visited on the website. Clarity records user interactions, such as mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, etc. The data is stored for a maximum of 13 months. You can find information about the security of your data in Microsoft's privacy policy (https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement and on https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/clarity/clarity-data.

We use different types of cookies.
Necessary and functional cookies
Visymo's websites are search engines for different types of visitors from all over the world. After you submit a search query, the most relevant content and ads will be displayed.
Users use our website because it gives them (many and often relevant) search results (after all, multiple search engines are searched).
Information is collected for functional purposes only. Data is only used to properly perform our services and to improve our services. The IP is stored, as well as location (country), browser data and what results were shown (such as ads and organic results). Also, certain information is passed on to third parties (such as IP address, ads shown and ads clicked on) to make our service possible (showing results, both ads and organic results).
Visymo never tracks user behavior to match organic results or search ads to the visitor's profile. Organic results and search ads are only shown based on the visitor's search query. Display ads from Google can be personalised as described under ‘Third-party cookies’; in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland only with your consent. The necessary cookies are essential to operate our websites and provide our services by helping us provide basic functionality such as loading and rendering pages on the websites and enabling your navigation around the websites and use of certain features. They are also used to identify and prevent fraud and improve security.
The functionality cookies record preferences and other information about choices you've made and allow us to show you search results and advertisements that match your search query. The types of first-party cookie we use are to:

Cookies also allow us and third parties to know whether you've seen an ad and to measure the effectiveness of ads. Just to be clear: Visymo itself does not track your online behavior to place ads; personalisation of display ads is done by Google as described under ‘Third-party cookies’.

If you get a new device, install a new browser, erase, or otherwise alter the third party’s browser cookie file, you may clear the opt-out cookie and no longer be subject to its opt-out.
Your consent choices
When you visit our websites from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from Google asks whether you agree to the use of cookies and your personal data for advertising by Google and the advertising partners listed in that message. Google's consent message is certified under the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework. You can consent, refuse (“Do not consent”) or make a choice per purpose and per partner (“Manage options”). Your choice is stored in a cookie or in local storage on your device, separately for each of our websites.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the “Privacy and cookie settings” link at the bottom of the pages on which Google's consent message can appear. Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it and does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. Visitors from other regions are not shown a consent message.
